When I returned to my campsite after a relaxing day of fishing at the river, I witnessed a whole heap of commotion near my tent. Frightened by the noise, I approached with extreme caution to see this extremely large bear, blue in color, gathering all the food I had stored for my camping trip! Could it be? Was this the big blue bear that I was warned about? Before I took another step or thought another thought, the bear sat up and turned around. There I was, face to face (ok, more like face to belly button) with this ginormous bear! I tried to run, but I was in shock and my feet wouldn't carry me. Sensing my fear, the bear began walking towards me and with his arms extended…gave me the biggest bear hug east of the Mississippi. He introduced himself as Buddy, thanked me for his afternoon snack, and innocently started walking back towards the woods.
Buddy was a slow moving creature - he was gentle, kind, loveable…and weighed a furry ton! As I watched him stroll back into the forest I realized I had to have him in my circus! I knew people would love him. Before he got too far away, I shouted "Buddy!" and caught up to him. I explained the Fur Circus to him and after promising some extra cotton candy and peanuts, he was my first official circus animal!
Buddy is special to fans of all ages and is always giving out free hugs. But, I will warn you, watch your food…he will take it! He isn't one for being on time, except when the dinner bell rings because he likes filling his belly. After all, how do you think it has gotten so big? Buddy doesn't have a care in the world and tries to make friends with everyone, even if his circus talents are hibernating and eating!
